SYNT x SaveArtSpace x UNM

SaveArtSpace, in collaboration with the UNM-Taos Art Department, and See You Next Thursday (SYNT) is proud to present the New/New initiative, an open call inviting artists living in New York and New Mexico to explore the theme of "Transcendental Landscapes." This theme seeks to bridge the connection between the vibrant, metropolitan energy of New York and the mystical, expansive beauty of New Mexico, highlighting the transient connections in both lands that unite us all. Curated by Paige Beeber and Sarah Stolar.

The New/New initiative aims to create a dialogue between the bustling streets of New York and the serene landscapes of New Mexico, recognizing that both are sites of powerful, transient connections. Whether through the physical spaces that shape our lives or the metaphysical journeys that shape our souls, these places, both with known vortexes, are a testament to the shared human experience that connects us across time and place.

We invite artists of all ages and talents to submit their artwork between September 23 and November 18, 2024. This is an opportunity to have your work placed on ad space in New Mexico & New York City.

Open call for art ends November 18, 2024. There is a $10.99 donation per image submission to participate, each donation is tax deductible and goes to producing the public art.

Selected artists will be announced after December 9, 2024. Public art will be installed January 6, 2025 in New Mexico & New York City.
